CHANGE OF PROGRAMME:
It is with regret that we have to let you know that Natalie Clein is unwell and not able to play for us at this concert.
We are delighted that, at very short notice, Jamie Walton, has stepped in.
From our artistic director, Stewart Collins …
"It is obviously disappointing to hear of Natalie’s indisposition, and of course we wish her a speedy recovery, but with every problem comes an opportunity and I must say that Jamie Walton’s availability to stand in both with Katya Apekisheva and almost the same repertoire* is the best news. Two or three years ago I heard Jamie play the Rachmaninov Sonata in London and promised him there and then that I would work with him as soon as the opportunity arose. That the opportunity has arisen in this way is slightly unexpected, but no less welcome. It will be wonderful to hear him again and we are clearly very grateful."
*Jamie Walton will play Beethoven’s 5th Cello Sonata in place of the Benjamin Britten Solo Cello Suite No3.
Your tickets are valid for this concert and we very much hope you will still join us for the concert and we look forward to seeing you on 24 July at 7.30pm.
