The Literary Festival carries on where the summer festival left off with a celebration of wonderful music… and wonderful words. With evocative texts from Virginia Woolf, Laurie Lee and Federico Garcia Lorca,  and music by Albeniz, Granados and Ravel, be led by pianist Melvyn Tan and acclaimed actress Dame Harriet Walker (Succession, Killing Eve, Ted Lasso) into a world of reflections and impressions of a Spain on the brink of a disastrous civil war.

The city of Granada itself – forcibly converted in 1492 from an intensely luminous Arab culture to a Christianity represented by St Michael – has been a constant inspiration to writers, not least Lorca, who was born within sight of the magnificent architectural jewel.
