It’s a Sign

By Stella Goodson

There’s something about putting up a new sign that makes things feel real!

Last week, something simple yet symbolic happened… we installed our brand-new sign on the front of our new office building. And just like that, the Petworth Festival has a new home that you can see, find, and celebrate.

What makes it even more special is that the sign was created by one of the festival’s loyal volunteers, Andy Marsh and installed with the help of his wife, Caroline (another incredibly loyal volunteer). We think the pictures say it all.

It might just be a sign to passers-by, but to us, it's a proud moment. After nearly half a century of bringing music, theatre, literature and laughter to the heart of the Petworth community and beyond, we’re stepping into a new era, with a new team, a new space, and a mega countdown to the festivals 50th year in 2029.

As we move forward into this month’s Literary Festival and look ahead to next year’s events and activities, we hope the new sign will become a familiar sight, a reminder that this is a place where creativity thrives, where ideas are shared, and where the festival spirit lives on all year round!
