Alistair McGowan is a man of many parts and not just through his uncanny ability as an impressionist. We welcome the star of Spitting Image, Ronni Ancona’s Big Impression, and numerous other radio and television shows, to talk about his two collections of poetry Not What We Were Expecting and Like Never Before.
Written over a 40-year period, some of his poems are comic, some poignant, some observational. Nearly all follow the theme of a changing world – linguistically, politically, environmentally – and the changes we all experience as we age. This is Alistair – like never before – commenting on a world that is accelerating like never before.
