In recent years Mario Bakuna has emerged as one of the leading figures in the UK’s Brazilian music scene. Also a fixture across the European continent, Bakuna’s formidable guitar playing talent sees him recreating the joy of classic and infectious South American rhythms, not least the Bossa Nova, that most sensual blending of jazz and samba. He returns to Petworth following a stand-out gig at the 2024 Festival.

In the fabulously comfortable environment that is Sofas and Stuff’s Fittleworth HQ and accompanied by the finest tea, coffee and cup-cakes, Mario is joined by the formidable talent that is Italian sax player, Roberto Manzin. Based in London since the 1990s Manzin has performed and/or recorded with Martha Reeves and the Vandelas, Donna Summer, and a host of leading jazz and ‘world’ artists.

‘Mario Bakuna… plays with palpable feeling – his virtuosic fluency on the fretboard is controlled and flourishes are perfectly placed.’ Songlines Magazine

‘Roberto Manzin, one of the finest and most versatile saxophonists on the British scene.’  Rainlore's World of Music
