The first Petworth Literary Festival collaboration with the Petworth Library sees an exquisite fusion of words and music. Imaginary Landscapes brings together the spellbinding poetry of Chris Tutton - acclaimed author, performer and “master of the short poem” - with the semi-improvised brilliance of the highly acclaimed international harpist, Tara Minton.

Chris Tutton is the critically acclaimed and award-winning author of eight collections of poetry, the most recent being ‘Short Chapters from Sunset’. Coined by Ned Sherrin as “the master of the short poem” his work has also been described as “absolutely beautiful” by Alexander Waugh with Iain Anderson of BBC Scotland noting that it was “philosophy in poetry form” and the Sunday Times commenting on its “dramatic passion and dignity”.

Tara Minton is an Australian born harpist, vocalist and composer, proudly endorsed by Camac Harps. Tara has worked with Bjork, Eska, Stan Sulzmann, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, Opera North, the Royal Ballet and the Australian World Orchestra and appeared at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms and the Cadogan Hall. A professor of Jazz Harp at the London Performing Academy of Music she also sings with ‘The Blues and Roots Ensemble’.
