In a change to the originally advertised programme we welcome two members of the outstanding Kanneh-Mason family, pianist Isata and violinist Braimah.
With cellist brother Sheku sidelined by injury, Isata performs repertoire including Ravel’s fabulously dramatic and demanding Gaspard de la Nuit and two works by the award-winning British-Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova whose music is celebrated for its glowing tonal harmony and melody.
She is joined by Braimah for two works including Tchaikovsky’s Meditation, one of his most darkly soulful and lyrical works for violin.
