The Truffle Valley Boys are a band with a mission: to bring back the raw, powerful and authentic sound of the early years of bluegrass music – no compromises. The group draws its repertoire and sound from leading bluegrass groups of the 1950s, the defining years for a genre which developed as a branch of country music, strongly influenced by gospel, swing and blues.
The Truffle Valley Boys perform authentic bluegrass as it should be heard; around a single microphone and using period instrumentation, with the utmost attention to musical detail, a fiery drive and a healthy dose of good-natured entertainment!
Since its founding in 2014, the band has appeared at most major bluegrass, country and rock-a-billy music festivals and events in Europe, and travels thousands of miles each year touring. Such is their status that they even feature in a permanent exhibit on international Bluegrass at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky.
